How To Convert Your Blog Posts To Audio Files
Quite a few free web services are available on the Internet that will enable you to convert your blog posts into podcast files. Your visitors will be able to download your blog posts and listen to them on their iPod, mp3 player and mobile phones. If your blog site is hosted on Blogger, Wordpress, or Typepad, you can turn your RSS feeds into podcasts. Choose a web service that offers plugins you can add onto your blog site. Your visitors can listen to your blog posts and subscribe to your podcast feeds.
Step 1:
Select a web service of your choice that will convert the RSS feeds of your blog posts and create podcast files. Web services such as Odiogo, iTalkr and iSpeech are various types of text to speech services that you can use to turn your blog readers into listeners.
Step 2:
Register for an account on the text to speech website. Type the URL address of your blog or RSS feed address in the “Enter Your Blog or Feed URL” field. Type your current email address in the “Email” field. Press the “Go” or “Get Podcast” button. Keep in mind, some talk to speech web services may only require that you enter your blog's URL address and current email address.
Step 3:
Download the text to speech plugin on your blog. Log in to your blog account. Type your user name in the “User Name” field and enter your password in the “Password” field. Press the “Sign In” button.
Step 4:
Look for a message on your blog site prompting you to activate or install the text to speech plugin. Click on “Create Plugin” or “Add New” to automatically install the plugin on your blog.
Step 5:
Activate the text to speech plugin on your blog site. Click the “Save” button to save the plugin settings on your blog. Click the hyperlink “View Blog” to make certain that the text to speech plugin is displayed on your blog page. Test the plugin by pressing the “Listen To” button.
Also, you can use other methods to convert your blog posts into podcast files. For example, use text to speech software and download the application on your computer. Or, use the services of websites that converts various types of text documents into MP3 files. Text to speech freeware and shareware websites like ABC2MP3, HearWho, and Vozme allow you to copy and paste your text documents on their website, and convert the text into a MP3 file. Then, you can download the MP3 file and save it on your computer.
