How To Protect & Lock Apps On Your Android Phone

There are all types of software that is designed to protect & lock apps on your Android phone. And, the best Android Market apps are always free to use. But if you prefer, you can purchase an Android Market app for a very small fee. Use an app protector that will lock any application on your Android phone, and requires a password when you want to use a locked application. And, automatically relocks it when your phone is not in use.

Instructions

Step 1:
Open the Web browser on your Android phone to open the application. Type “market.android.com” in the search text box and then tap the magnifying glass icon (search button). Click on the “Gmail” link near the top of the Web page. Type your username in the “Username” text box. Enter your password in the “Password” text box and tap the “Sign In” button when you're done.

Step 2:
Use Android Market's search text box located near the top of the page, to help you find an app protector application for your Android phone. Type the keywords “app protector” in the search text box and then tap the magnifying glass (search button).

Step 3:
Scroll down the list and select an application like “Protector,” “App Protector” and “Perfect App Protector” that is able to protect and lock the applications on your Android phone. Tap the “Install” button to begin the Android Market app download. To purchase an Android Market app, tap the “Buy” button and follow the on-screen instructions for making the purchase. You'll need to have your credit card information available when making purchases from Android Market.

Step 4:
Follow the instructions for installing the app protector application. Locate the app protector icon on your phone and tap it to launch the application.

Step 5:
Use the app protector application features to help you protect and lock the applications on your phone. For example, if you're using the application “App Protector,” enable the password feature for all of the applications that you want to lock.

Step 6:
Type a new password in the “Password” text box, if you want to change the app protector default password. Tap the “Enter” button. Tap on the “Settings” button and following the on-screen instructions for customizing each option.

Step 7:
Select the applications that you want the app protector application to protect and lock. Tap inside the check box next to each application that's shown under the "Protection List" that you want to add password protection. Click the “Done” button.
